Ride25 was set up by friends and travel enthusiasts John Readman and Rob Hamilton after they experienced an incredible response to a UK to Australia charity cycle ride, which raised money for the African children’s charity 1morechild. The event was so popular that Rob and John wanted to open it up to a wider audience, with the aim of giving individuals, groups of friends, charities and companies the opportunity to see the world by bike (and if they so choose, complete all 25 legs to cycle all the way from the UK to Down Under)
The original group of cyclists, the “The Pioneers” are continuing their journey to the land Down Under and will be embarking on Leg 14 across India from Jaisalmer to Agra in November 2025.
A new group of Cyclists called “The Founders” will continue the journey with Leg 4 from Milan to Rome in September 2025.
