We are pleased to announce that the latest set of intrepid Ride25 explorers set off from London this morning, embarking on their 3 day cycling holiday from London to Paris. The group of 50 cyclists are mostly clients, colleagues and friends of e-consultancy, Marketing Week and Festival of Marketing and their aim is to network, raise money, meet new friends and enjoy the amazing challenge and experience together.
Fortunately the weather was kind and the sun was shining at the start point and rider briefing at 8am this morning at the House Guards Parade – but the rain clouds did come in later on in the day with a mix of rain and showers en route to Brighton.
The riders have conquered some amazing hills and had some great pitstops to refuel and recharge – including the Stepping Stone pub at the bottom of Box Hill and a lovely BBQ lunch in Cranleigh at the Richard Onslow pub, who really looked after us. (When we thought it was going to rain they ushered us all inside and lit the fire – that’s what we call service!).
Overall, it’s been a cracking day. There have been a few people who’ve accidentally taken some diversions but everyone made it to Brighton in time for some networking drinks and digital marketing chat at the Mash Tun in Brighton. Bring on La France tomorrow!
