Home » Parmoor to Paris June 2012
To kick off our very first adventure, 44 cyclists left Parmoor en masse. In three days we cycled 230 miles, through beautiful countryside, the vibrant seaside town of Brighton and the fantastic the green lanes of France, before finishing in style at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
Our 90 mile route along the Jubilee river saw us cycle through Great Windsor Park and along Guildford High Street. We rode an interesting route along a disused railway before reaching Shoreham-on-sea and then Brighton, where we stayed for the night after some well-earned fish and chips.
After an early ride to Newhaven we caught the ferry to Dieppe. After arriving in France we enjoyed the idyllic car-free country lanes before settling in Gournay-en-Bray for dinner.
After a peaceful route through beautiful French countryside we met up near Versaille and cycled into the centre of Paris to finish triumphantly under the Eiffel Tower. The evening involved a typically French bistro overlooking the Seine, a French bar and later a nightclub for those that hadn’t fallen asleep!
