Who can come?
This special event is aimed at everyone, not just the Yorkshire Mafia members, so get a team together from your cycle club, colleagues, friends and family who may want to enjoy the ride, sunshine, wine, food and fun with you. Now in its third year, the Yorkshire Mafia Charity Bike ride is a great opportunity to get fit, challenge yourself, network with local like-minded Yorkshire entrepreneurs and business folk and most importantly raise significant funds for local charities.
It’s not just about the cycling though‚ it’s about the camaraderie, stunning landscapes, charity and sharing your day’s adventure over a meal and a few drinks in the evening…
…not forgetting Ride25’s amazing hospitality, support and planning. Ride25 do everything to make sure all you have to worry about is which way to pedal, after all it’s your cycling adventure!
Check out Ride25 on ‘Trusted Shop’ and the reviews from previous riders here.
We are riding for the following causes; Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, Simon on the Streets, St Gemma’s Hospice – Leeds, St Leonard’s Hospice – York, Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT), Brain Tumour Research & Support Yorkshire (BTRS), Heart Research UK and The Candlelighters. You can also ride for a charity close to your heart, however they may not be able to offer funded places – please contact your chosen charity and get them to get in touch with Ride25.
You can of course just ride for the personal challenge and adventure. You will still be doing your bit for charity, as for every single person who completes one of our cycling tours, Ride25 will donate a bike to Africa via our corporate charity, Re~Cycle.
3 ways to fund your cycling challenge…
Option 1 – Funded Charity Place with Fundraising Target
You will need to pay the £250 registration fee/deposit and then fundraise a minimum of £2300 for the charity of your choice. Providing you have raised the funds 6 weeks before we leave, the charity you are supporting will pay the trip costs of £1250 on your behalf. Some companies also offer match funded sponsorship for challenge events, so it is well worth asking whether your company supports this kind of charitable scheme. Please note, you personally will be required pay the initial deposit/registration fee of £250 to secure your place. If you choose this option, please indicate this in the booking form.
Option 2 – Self Funding with Sponsorship
Pay the trip costs of £1250 yourself (inclusive of the £250 deposit/registration fee) and then fundraise as much as you can for the charity of your choice, or make a personal donation.
Option 3 – Self-Funding
Simply pay the trip costs of £1250 yourself (inclusive of the £250 deposit/registration fee)- no need to fundraise or donate. You can pay in instalments too if easier for you. Please get in touch if you wish to do this after paying the deposit.
The Sign up Process…
Once you have decided which option you want to book with, click the “Book Now” button below, fill in the registration form and pay the £250 deposit/registration fee to secure your place.
You can select your charity in the sign-up process, you can pay by PayPal or Bank Transfer whichever is easiest for you. If you are riding for a charity we will put you in touch with them so they can work with you on ideas to raise the money and smash your fundraising target.
Remember it’s still work….. you can also do some great networking and business in the saddle!
Why not enter a company team?
It offers the perfect opportunity to team build, meet and network with fellow Yorkshire Mafia business people, train and get fit and is also a great reason to fundraise for charity if you so wish.
On top of that, everything will be organised for you by Ride25 including all your hotels, support vehicles, meals, snacks… even down to your own personalised cycling shirts, so that all you need to do is enjoy this amazing challenge and ultimately have fun!
The ride is open to all cycling abilities and all types of bikes. We do recommend that you use a road bike, however, previous Ride25 Riders have used hybrids and Bromptons.
